Thanksgiving comes to AfricaUnga wa Dola were launching a new maize-meal pack, and needed a way to get the world to notice – at the busiest time of year: the Thanksgiving Holiday. We had to successfully position the new product in synch with the start of the holiday season. YouNameitchallenge was our answer.A Facebook video featuring the classic song ‘YouNameIt’ by Shirley Ceaser was created. But with one unique difference: the lyrics were replaced with the names of popular Kenyan meals.The result was a humorous production, in line with the brand personality. The new pack starred in the video, with the brand ambassador using it to prepare a meal.The new package was clearly positioned, and the festive season was opened with the humorous, Unga Wa Dola style.1) 145,838 video views2) 1900 reactions3) 500 shares
